My first TCM
Friday, March 25, 2011 Written @ 1:32 AM
Hellooooo~
Today we had OIE presentation early in the morning.
After that, we went to the streets for lunch

Ja jjang myeon (Stir fried noodle with black sauce)

HAHAHAHAHAH!!!!

After eating we went around the streets near our school to look for a traditional chinese medicine (TCM) shop.
However, most of the TCM stores were quite unfriendly and they patronised us by answering unwillingly.

We found this TCM shop known as 'Ma Ying Long Da Yao Fang'.
Which actually means Ma Ying Long big pharmacy
The people there are friendlier and were open to our interviews

I eventually ended up buying my cough and intestinal medicines.
The chief physician said I had weak intestines thus hindering absorption.

The 4 famous physicians in the past.

The left 2 boxes are for cough and the green box is for my intestines

After spending much time in the TCM clinic, we walked back to school to look for Mr. Imran to have dinner together.
He brought us to 'Si men kou' which means four doors I guess.
There were plenty of food and all of them look really appetizing!! (*´▽`*)

Banana dipped in some paste and fried + topped with fruit sauce
Yummyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!

I also bought chocolate taiyaki, strawberry sweet, dragon beard candy and egg wrap!

Smelly tou fu justin ate. Stinksssssss!! ( ゚ Д゚)

After eating, we took bus back to school and saw a really huge dog while walking back.

Look at its size compared to the car!

Overall, today was really fun!
I get to learn more about TCM and also look at the night life of the people in Wuhan.
TCM is not as scary as I thought.
I used to think that TCM is a painful and torturing process due to the needles used in acupuncture and how they twist your feet when there is a sprain.

However, my stereotypes on TCM had been cleared.
It is actually rather cool how the physician can just diagnose us by taking our pulse, looking and smelling us. (According to the pharmacist)

I look forward to learning more about TCM and also, the people in wuhan!
